Elisabeth Moss star of Steven Knight's The Veil series

A new TV series is coming from the creator of Peaky Blinders, this time starring Elisabeth Moss!


Variety reports that the FX network has ordered a new limited series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. It will be a Hulu exclusive and will feature The Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss. Entitled The Veil, the series is described as a thriller that explores the surprising and tense relationship between two women who live on a tightrope, engaged in a deadly game between the streets of Istanbul, Paris and London. One woman has a secret, the other the mission to reveal it, before thousands of lives are lost.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Steven Knight on The Veil and thrilled to have Elisabeth Moss in the lead role,” said Nick Grad, president of original FX programming. "Steven's scripts are compelling and will undoubtedly showcase Elisabeth's exceptional talent."

Steven Knight is writing the script and executive producing the series, alongside Elisabeth Moss. “I am absolutely thrilled to tell this story, which is truly international and very contemporary,” said Knight. “We have brought together some of the most talented people in the industry. Working with Denise Di Novi is always a pleasure and I have wanted to work with Elisabeth Moss for a long time. Of course, FX and I are old friends. I think this will be a television event not to be missed ”.

This will be Knight's fourth project with the FX network. He previously worked with the network on the Taboo series with Tom Hardy and A Christmas Carol with Guy Pearce. He also has an adaptation of Great Expectations coming up, starring Olivia Colman (Fleabag, The Favorite). Knight is best known for creating the popular television series Peaky Blinders and the Apple See series, starring Jason Momoa. It was recently announced that he is working on an Enzo Ferrari series for Apple.

Elisabeth Moss currently stars in Hulu's hit series The Handmaid's Tale, which will return with its fifth season in September. For her work on the show Moss won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. She is also known for her role as Peggy Olson on the AMC series Mad Men, which earned her six Emmy nominations. Her most recent credits include the Apple series Shining Girls and Universal's The Invisible Man.
