Joseph Quinn became known to the general public thanks to the iconic role of Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things. The metalhead with a heart of gold - founder of the D&D Hellfire club - was also the protagonist of one of the most popular scenes of the series, the one in which he plays the cult song of Metallica Master of Puppets in the Sottosopra, in an attempt to attract the “ henchmen ”of Vecna. A scene that gave rise to numerous memes and videos on the Internet and that allowed Quinn to meet the band backstage at Lollapalooza - a traveling music festival.

Joseph Quinn and the meeting with Metallica - the video is already cult!

Joseph Quinn then finally got the chance to meet the band backstage at the Chicago concert. A meeting immortalized in a video that has already become a cult, in which Quinn appears as a "new member" of the group.

The meeting then turned into a real improvised jam session, at the end of which Metallica drummer - Lars Ulrich - announced that "Metallica is now officially five". The band then gave Quinn a custom BC Rich guitar, identical to the one played by Eddie in Stranger Things and signed by the four members of the band. The video of the meeting was then uploaded to the Netflix Twitter page.

James Hetfield - lead singer and frontman of Metallica - then thanked the actor for "doing justice" to the song and for helping to bring it back to the Billboard charts. He then admitted to being a huge fan of the series: “I'm a huge fan of it, I've been since the first season. For me and my children, watching the series was an experience that united us. " Eddie died in the Stranger Things season 4 finale, sacrificing himself for Hawkins and his friends. Joseph Quinn, therefore, will not return in the fifth and final season of the series.
