Inclusive films are not always well received in all cultures of the world: this is the case of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in Kuwait.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in cinemas nearly worldwide between Wednesday, November 9, and Friday, November 11. Despite mainly positive reviews, the film has also caused controversy within some countries due to the themes used and put on the screen.

Different places around the world, due to a different culture and more censorship regarding certain subjects, have decided not to show Ryan Coogler's film in its entirety. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has in fact undergone cuts to be distributed in Kuwait.

Mainly, scenes with possible sexual and homosexual implications were deleted. For those who were able to see the Marvel film in Italy, that magical moment is also present among the deleted scenes, also eliminating a short starring Aneka and Ayo, considered not in line with local rules on LGBTQ+ content.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the edits are just over 1 minute long.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, all the scenes cut from the film in Kuwait

What were the cut scenes in the final cut of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? The editing proposed in Kuwait theaters eliminated a 10-second shot in which Aneka, played by Michaela Coel, kisses Ayo or actress Florence Kasumba on the forehead.

In addition, a scene in which a woman gives birth was removed as well as the line 'A deity for her people'.

The other Arab and Middle Eastern nations have agreed to keep the film in theaters in its entirety, uncensored. Kuwait, however, maintains rather strict rules on censorship, also extending it to heterosexual couples and overtly sexual scenes. The first Black Panther, for example, had to cut a kiss between T'Challa and Nakia.
