Unfortunately, the legendary filmmaker has had a rather serious problem.
Avatar 2 (Avatar – The Way of Water) is the awaited feature film directed by James Cameron (Titanic, Terminator 2 – Judgment Day) which brings the public back to Pandora after 13 years from the first chapter, which completely revolutionized the seventh art as we know it, reaching a truly extraordinary level of immersion.
The British filmmaker's cinematic plan is truly ambitious with many other sequels to compose his fascinating fresco and this recent film which has already been very enthusiastically received by the press. The feature film is about to arrive in theaters around the world even if, as already anticipated, the title has already been screened during exclusive previews.
Avatar 2 arrives 13 years after the first film
After the one in London which opened the dance, Avatar 2 is about to be shown in an exclusive premiere in Los Angeles, on the evening of December 12, 2022. Unfortunately, however, according to Deadline reports, James Cameron himself will not be able to be personally present at the event due to a very serious problem he had.
During the flight that was taking him from Tokyo to LA, the filmmaker discovered he had covid and this clearly blocked his participation. While Disney clarified that "the filmmaker is fine, he tested positive during routine tests and will take part in his film presentation schedule virtually", the artist himself recounted the fact, taking the misadventure philosophically.
I'm in LA, just got back from Tokyo, and managed to catch covid on the plane, so I'm isolated and can't go to my premiere tonight. The number of people I've said to over the years, 'ah, we'll meet and see you at the premiere…' well, I guess not. Man proposes and God disposes.
Avatar 2, produced by 20th Century Studios and Lightstorm Entertainment, will be released in cinemas on December 16, 2022 thanks to 20th Century Studios.
