While waiting to see the first official trailer, which should be released in the next few days, Oppenheimer – the new film by acclaimed British director Christopher Nolan (Tenet, The Dark Knight, Inception) – is shown in six new official images showing Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr. as their respective characters, namely J. Robert Oppenheimer, Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer and Lewis Strauss.

Set in the 1940s and based on the novel American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, Oppenheimer focuses on the historical figure of the American scientist, considered the father of the atomic bomb. The film recounts the development of the deadly bomb during the years of the Second World War, when the United States and its entourage of scientists initiated the Manhattan Project - of which J.
