The actress said in an interview that she played a lot to play Princess Peach, to the point of becoming a great fan of arcade games.
Super Mario Bros. is a timeless icon of the world of video games which, since 1985 is the undisputed icon of Nintendo, not a simple mascot, which has brought so much luck to the Japanese house.
While still today the videogames dedicated to the mustachioed plumber are resoundingly successful, with a saga that seems to never end, the character and the whole universe related to him are about to cross the thresholds of the videogame dimension to reach the great screen. After a disastrous film directed by Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel was released in 1993, it seems that Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of the franchise, has found the right solution to adapt it to the cinema.
Super Mario Bros. will arrive in cinemas on April 7, 2023
Super Mario Bros., unlike its criticized predecessor, is in fact an animated creation and no longer in live-action, with an exceptional voice cast to dub the various figures present within the story. If the well-known Chris Pratt (Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy) is the voice actor of Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen of Chess, The Northman) has been chosen to voice Princess Peach, the love interest of the protagonist. In a recent interview for Modern Luxury San Diego, the diva said that she spent a lot of time playing video games to prepare for the role, to the point that she became an avid gamer. The actress explained that she now regularly attends, in the company of her friends, game rooms, where she spends hours of fun.
We remind you that Super Mario Bros. will arrive in cinemas on April 7, 2023, with the production of Illumination Entertainment, Nintendo, and Universal Pictures. The cast is completed, in the original language, also by Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong), Fred Armisen (Cranky Kong), Sebastian Maniscalco (Spike). Honestly, we can't wait to find out a few more little details about the implementation.
